I have had a lot of experience with headphones. I own Beats by Dr. Dre and have had several other high end headphones in the past. Three of the pairs have been stolen. Needless to say I was expecting quality when I ordered these because of the price and the brand name. Logitech has always done me right in the past. The F540's are super easy to set up, and a very well made. When you hold them you know you are holding quality. The sound quality is the best I have ever heard from a wireless headset. Absolutely INCREDIBLE!! The bass is very stong with no distortion. The bass response is better than my Beats. I know hard to believe but you will see. The highs are sharp and crisp. The mic is crystal clear. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these. I normally don't even take time to right reviews but I am so impressed with these that I feel I owe it logitech. My girlfriend hates when I play call of duty at night but with these on she hasn't complained once. In my oppionion I would gladly pay $150 to not hear her complain all the time. Do yourself a favor and buy these if you have the money. It is like a new game compaired to speakers. Amazing how much of the sound you don't hear until you use headphones. Call of Duty Black Ops is amazing. You hear dripping water and snow melting and brass tingling on the pavement like you are really there. Worth every penny!!!...

I originally got the Sharkoon SP, focusing on the price range below $100. They're good - well constructed and comfortable. However, I was annoyed by the constant background hiss and the very heavy cable and volume control. Then I saw the Logitech F540's on sale, which brought it within reach of my budget. I am SO glad I got the Logitech headset - I love the cordless convenience and there is no hiss or static EXCEPT when I turn on the mic. I think that has something to do with the noise cancelling. These sound as good as my corded Sennheiser headphones. They're very well constructed, comfortable, and easy to use.

Granted, they're not surround sound and I find it hard to discern if the gunfire is to my left front or my left back - that split second to figure it out is enough to lose the duel. But I'd rather lose that fight than the one with the spouse!

And I read that to get the surround sound on a headset required numerous cables and power requirements, which means a cabled model that gets hot and cumbersome or a wireless model that drains too fast for my marathon sessions. And the cost difference was way too much to justify it.

I'd...
