I work primarily out of my house and I am on calls 2-3 hours a day. I purchased this headset and the DA60 Plantronics USB to Headset Adapter with PerSono Pro 2.0 Software (PLNDA60) with the purpose of using this for VoIP calls. I have used this headset for nearly 2 weeks with the following call service:

* Office Communicator and with Enterprise Voice

* Messenger

* Google Voice (from Gmail softphone plug in)

* Magic Jack

* Phone Phower

First, I run Windows 7 and when I plugged in the DA60 USB adapter, Windows detected the device and installed the driver automatically. (I didn't install the Persono Pro software. I don't think you need it for Windows 7.)

FIT

I read from the marketing piece that the headset weight is carried by the side of the head just above the ear and that ear piece "floats" next to the ear. At first, it was a different feel as I am use do having ear pad(s) pressed to my ear or an in-ear with a earphone style headset but after using this for 2 weeks, I would definitely say that it does more comfortable not having anything pressed against your ear.

I tried the ear-loop attachment but it's not for me. The weight of the headset (which isn't that heavy mind you) and the fact that the ear piece doesn't rest on your ear, the fit/feel of the loop was not that great. I was planning on using it with the head piece anyway so not an issue for me. Just thought I share my experience.

CALL QUALITY

The call quality is great. The audio is loud and clear. I was concerned that the audio would be a bit weak since the ear piece would not be pressed against the ear. Well, no worries. The audio is clear and loud. I don't know what the volume level is on the DA60 audio processor but my guess is it is on the lower level and it is plenty loud.

With regards to the voice quality, everyone on the other end didn't have any problems.

SUMMARY

I would say that this product paired with the DA60 adapter is by far the best headset I've used to date. I have tried Logitech, Shure, Microsoft's gaming headset (for calls and not gaming), other lower level Plantronics USB headset set, and Creative products in various forms - in-ear, over the head, behind the head, over one ear, Bluetooth one piece, etc. This is by far superior to anything I've used to date and the most comfortable.

UPDATE (4/13/11): I have now used this headset for nearly 3 months and still 5 stars. the noise cancelling works great. My colleagues says they cannot hear the background noise of my kids or my dog.

Hope this helps....

I work in a call center, and love how this can either be over the head, or over the ear. Its comfortable both ways and the sound quality is awesome! Very happy with this headset!...

I bought this to use without the over-the-head attachment. I wear it frequently, but take it off when not on calls. It works well but that's after a lot of fidgeting with the ear hook. Feels loose when I tilt my head, but I only do that to test it. Never noticed it being loose when I'm actually on a call. Sound quality is really nice even though it's not in your ear. As for comfort, I don't think I would like it too much if I had to wear it constantly, but for my needs it does fine....
