I bought this to use as a monitor for recording in loud venues. The noise cancellation isn't perfect but the sound with it on is substantially better than with it off. They are quite comfortable as well....

Just returned from 2 separate 12 hour flights where I was able to really put my new noise cancelling headphones to the test. They passed with flying colors. The headphones proved to be comfortable, very effective in noise cancelling, and provided excellent sound for my IPod Music and movies....
