the sound from these inexpensive earbuds isn't bad... if you're sitting still. Moving the cord around creates way too much noise. Think of a talk show when someone is fumbling with their clip on mic? That's what these are like. Will not buy again....

I bought these because I love my Skullcandy Ink'd ear buds and I needed a second set. Since the msrp for these were higher I thought they'd sound even better but, sadly, they don't. They sound way too muffled even at higher volumes and they don't stay in my ear as well. I've noticed they're often on sale for lower than Ink'd ear buds lately. I'll be using my Ink'd as my primary ear buds which still amaze me for the price!...

I've used this product twice within the last 2.5 years. I mostly needed earbuds at the time to keep all noise out as I would stay up late studying but my roommate slept really early... and snored really loudly. These earbuds have proven to be great at keeping noise out (but don't expect anything magical that would be comparable to noise cancelling technology). The little gummy thingys don't hurt my ears as my ears are a bit on the smaller side, which was a huge reason why I bought this product. The downside to how snug the earbuds are in your ears is that if you're walking with these guys in, you'll hear a thud, thud, thud with every step you take because the wire's moving around.

Not a huge sound snob (not equating a snob to being a bad thing, so chill) so I don't care too much, as long as the music doesn't sound too flat. These haven't upset me much.

The little volume control thing is a bit of a pain, though. After a while, just a slight touch to it will make it reduce the volume on one side and it'll sound all funny. And, going back to the wire, since it's so thin, it's very prone to getting disconnected or whatever else is going on. D: The first pair I had bought, I kind of tossed around and stuff so it lasted a little under a year. The second pair I bought, I made sure to be super careful with bending the wire at the jack and made sure to always keep it in the little pouch it comes in after I use it. A year and a half later, the wire's starting to get worn out, even though I had tried to take really good care of it. Sometimes I can only hear out of one side. "/

All in all, pretty good for the money you're paying but these babies aren't going to last you a long time. I think that I'm going to invest in a pair of earbuds that'll last me for the next few years instead of buying this every year and a half....
