I was skeptical, but wanted to try these. I purchased these at the same time as the Sennheiser CX300-B Earbuds (noise blocking/bass boost). The Sennheiser were $3.00 cheaper, but have no active noise-cancellation. When I compared the sound quality between the two - the Coby sounded like an AM radio next to the Sennhieser, which sound more like a surround sound system. I exaggerate, but there was a dramatic difference. One up front issue, the Coby buds don't even fit in my ears properly and tend to pop out. I'm over 6' tall and I don't think I have a small ear opening - but they fall out of my ear instead of locking in. The Sennheiser came with multiple ear bud covers to fit multiple ears - not so with the Coby. I tried the active noise cancellation near my dryer and could barely tell the difference, whereas with an older pair of $25.00 noise cancelling headphones, the difference was dramatic. The other disappointment is that the Coby active noise cancellation unit is not an amplifier, and the volume is actually slightly lower when you turn on the device... I don't get that. When I flew with my older pair of Head Phones (not earbuds), there was a world of difference - with these I don't think they will. I will say that I don't know how well these will perform at "cancelling" aircraft noise...I can only say that my $25.00 noise cancelling headphones worked much better (but the plastic swivel joint finally broke after being jammed in my carry-on), and the $17.00 Sennheiser earbuds sound a lot better as well. Now I just need to decide whether it's worth the cost of postage to send these back to Amazon....

I wish I would have paid attention to the fact it didn't say additional size earbuds provided. These are too big for me. Having said that - I do appreciate the ease of the volume control...

I bought these the other day. Put them on and turned on the noise cancellation and what did I hear? Everything. They should change the name from noise cancelling to white noise producing. Save your money and buy something else. These are crap....
