My wife and I are going to New Zealand & Tahiti for our 25 wedding Anniversary and I wanted to purchase a couple sets of Noise canceling headphones for the long flight over there. I couldn't see spending $300.00 or more for Sony's or Bose (Both Of Which Are Made In China) so I did a search on Amazon and spied these for less then $40.00 so I ordered 1 pair just to look them over and I like them so much I'm placing another order for 2 more sets. First of all they have all the features of the high priced sets, some of which are the detachable cord that lets you unplug it at the headphone so you can sleep with them on but you wont be annoyed by the plug tugging them off your head, they also come with a nice travel case which lets you fold them flat for storage plus the sound quality is good when I tested them listening to a CD on my Laptop, I also tested the noise canceling feature by turning them on and standing rite next to my A/C blower and it reduced the loud fan noise so well I had to remove them to make sure it was still running. I would also like to add that they are small and light weight and are very comfortable to wear, I have a big head and my wifes is small and they adjusted to fit us both with no problem....

These will not make the outside world completely silent but, do filter out the piercing edges.

I bought these to block out some construction work nearby my house and while they did the job, I initially tried sleeping in them (not a good idea unless you like sore ears). They aren't made to have weight on them, though the cushioning, under normal use, is comfortable and adjusts well for adults. This product would not be appropriate for children or teens under 5'2" because while it can adjust to very large/tall, there is a distinct cut off on adjusting it on the small side, having let a neighbor's child try them, who is roughly 5' tall, these would not stay on him.

The carry case is extremely well made and works well for those traveling by plane. I also got these to connect to PC speakers which was awesome since I live in a normally VERY quiet area. I was really surprised at the sound quality when using these to listen to

music!

The only thing I didn't like about these, is they feel slightly on the heavy side. This is because, unlike regular headphones, these are cordless so the batteries go into one of the earphone pieces.

With the batteries out, there's nothing that makes them inherently heavy.

I did find an easy fix(for those sensitive to that extra weight feel - and it's not by much). Using a U-shaped neck pillow, which you get a Target for $5) not only helped relieve a lot of the tension that made me consider this product in the first place but it also props up the bottom of each earphone so the weight is on the pillow, without having to wear these at a forward angle. I also adjusted to it, the more I used them and don't regret buying them.

They do what they say and are a very good value....

These headphones are a helluva bargain. I also have the Dr Dre Beats Studio and while the quality is not to that level, they are very good. When listening to music the sound is clear and crisp and outside noise is effectively blocked out. I really wanted them to wear doing yard work so I would not thrash my good headphones but not have to crank earbuds to the point of pain. These are perfect for that! With them on at about 3/4 volume I had to take them off to get my gas weed wacker running because I couldn't hear it idling. Then running high, I can hear the weed wacker running, but it is not uncomfortable at all. Normally I wear earplugs when using the weed wacker and this was much more comfortable. I wore them for three hours, up and down hills, hopping fences and sweating my ass off and these headphones stay in place and are comfortable, but not too hot to be miserable..

All together, I highly recommend these for cheap headphones, with big dollar features so you are not worried to take risks with them...

The people that are saying these headphones are as good as the more expensive ones must be tone deaf or something. They are good headphones but are not worth more than what they cost ~$40. I got mine for around $21 so they are a bargain at that price. Sound quality is good for most people, the headphones do not isolate outside noise as you might imagine, you can easily hear what's going on around you when the volume is low. These do not come with the extension cable so you'll need to buy an extension if you plan to use these with anything other than a portable MP3 player cable is only 4ft enough to go from your head to your waist. These are also very light, which makes them feel cheap but perfect for portable use. They also seem very delicate with the thin metal wires and plastic construction, but I can't judge on that as I've only had them for a few days now. Bottom line if you are looking for audiophile sound quality and something that feels like it's built well spend the money on the expensive stuff. If you want a good set of headphones you won't feel bad about abusing, letting your kids use them or losing them then get these, perfect for work....

Panasonic's RP-HTX7-RS Ryan Sheckler Signature Headphones are a very good pair of headphones at the entry level of the market. But once you start getting close to list price they are outclassed by many alternatives. I was lucky enough to buy a pair deeply discounted. While these are OK as an extra pair, they should probably be priced much less than they currently are.

It's important to test out cans like these with a variety of music. It's also important to give them time to adjust with extended play before you judge the sound quality. I spent quite a bit of time with these, and I think that there certainly sound good enough for most users. However, do not expect the type of sound quality that is going to blow you away. The sound is just ok.

The fit of these is part of the appeal. If you like the space cadet look of the extended metal head-bands as well as the simple shapes and clean lines, than you will find these to be attractive. These are definitely a candy apple red, so those who plan on wearing these around town will want to be mindful of just how conservative they like their electronics to look.

I noticed a tight fit on my very average sized head that started to give me a headache after an hour or so. With time, these adjusted somewhat but just be aware that they are tight. On the same token, those with small heads may feel less of a pinch but also have to factor in if they mind the fact that the metal bands swing out from the back of the ear pieces, making your head look bigger and rounder. Once again, that's just a personal preference.

The ear and band cushions definitely could have been beefed up a bit. The cord is definitely long enough for standard use on the go, or even for hooking up to a jack at home.

Many people will want a more conservative look, and some who don't care about looks may simply want slightly better quality sound. To that end, the Sennheiser HD201 Headphones win on both fronts. They are not much more comfortable, but they definitely have a lower profile and slightly better sound. At about half the price, they are pretty much a no-brainer for those looking for budget earphones. The main reason to pay the premium for these would be if you really are after the look, in which case you could certainly do worse. But for everybody else, give the HD201s a try.

Though I was happy to test the HTX7s after getting them on sale, I plan on getting a pair of HD201s right away to have as my extra pair. Those who want to move a little further up the food chain and don't mind spending a little more should try the AUDIO TECHNICA ATH-PRO5MS Stereo Headphones or the Audio-Technica ATH-M30 Professional Headphones.

I really like these headphones.

I listen to bass-heavy electronic music like trance and these headphones have very sturdy bass and bright highs which are crucially important for the way I listen to this music. I can't really comment on the midrange since I'm not an audiophile.

The sealed headphones, when on your head, do not disturb others. Likewise the outside sound in my loud office environment is attenuated greatly by the sealed circumaural design which was my primary reason for buying these.

I only have two complaints. My glasses rub against the pads with a terrible noise which can be remedied by putting cloth over the pads. The other is probably not specific to these headphones but to all circumaural phones--it presses into my neck slightly below the ear and behind the jaw. It caused a rather weird sensation at first but I've gotten used to it.

Tightness is not a problem with these phones because of the vinyl-wrapped metal headband. This is great because it's impossibl...

I got these on a whim for my new gaming pc mainly because I don't like the feel of the over the ear gaming headsets on the market, and the price was perfect. I guess I should go through and explain each point one by one.

1. I marked construction quality as a 4 is because the build of these didn't strike me as amazing. The cord may be a bit thicker than some of the lower end headsets but beyond that the "feel" of the headset is normal, not bad, but it wasn't wowing to me.

2. The ease of use is as it should be, place earphone in ear, plug in and frag.. Wait is frag still used or is that a 90's term. Anyway they has a nice volume slider on the cord which is always convient, especially if you don't have volume controls on your keyboard or speaks. The only thing missing that the upper end larger than life over ear models have is a mic mute. Maybe the next version of these headphones will have that. But again, my logitech speakers have a mic mute button on the volume hub thing.

3A. Now for the best part, the sound quality. These things surprised me greatly. I consider myself an audiophile with a very sensitive ear, or rather two ears.. but these did not disappoint. The only thing to keep in mind is that these are for GAMING, not music or other junk. For games they are perfect. The sound profile fits right into where it should, good mids and good bass. The upper end is a little weak, but that's not what effects most games. Most are looking to hear footsteps, explosions, gun fire, all of which fit into the mid bass area. Even the "ting" of the M1 in BFBC2 wasn't bad. I wouldn't suggest these for music. If you want good music quality go for bose or some other higher end company that focuses more on music.

3B. The mic is simply amazing! It picks up voice, and picks it up really well. The mic slit doesn't even have to be facing your mouth to pick up your voice clearly, probably because its an onmidirectional mic. I would put this mic on the same level as any high end over ear, i.e. G35 and such. I was shock how well my voice came through, even at chin level, and while turning, moving, shaking the mic. Its great. My buddies will actually hear what I'm saying in games for once.

So to conclude, if you're looking for a great in ear gaming headset, this is the way to go. You may want to hunt around the interwebs for a few seconds to find the best price as this may not be it. I got my set for $30. But if you're considering these headphones, just go ahead and get them. You wont be disappointed....

I bought these headphones recently on sale for a very nice price. After reading a few mixed reviews I was a bit skeptical. I currently have a pair of Jbuds that I am not 100% thrilled with, so I decided to try another pair of in ear headphones.

The headphones are very comfortable with soft rubber and additional inserts for different sized ear canals. What I like most about them is their comfort, the contours blend nicely with the ears for low profile wearing; whereas I feel like Frankenstein with the Jbuds.

Although I am not an audiophile, I still feel the sound range is impressive; they are without a doubt the best pair of headphones I have ever owned.

The microphone is crisp and clear, it picks up even the softest noise so I don't need to annoy my girlfriend when gaming online with friends. I haven't used noise cancelling headphones prior to these, but from what I can tell, they are very good at reducing ambient noises.

I only have one gripe, the plastic used for coating the wires isn't the best and could annoy me down the road. For now, it's a minor annoyance.

I highly recommend these headphones to gamers or anyone that wants a comfortable set of headphones with a great mic....

These headphones are the fourth pair of Sennheiser's I have owned in recent years. Unfortunately, these and three others have all suffered the same kind of demise: poor cable construction. In each of the cases, the cable of the headphones let down what were nice sounding cans. I have also owned Sony, Denon, JVC, Blueant and Plantronics headphones and headsets. Of all of the makes I have used, the Sennheiser have consistently had the flimsiest cables of them all, in some cases by far. I had a pair of Sony studio headphones since I was sixteen, and the cable held up to amazing abuse for over a decade until finally the foam ear-pieces started to disintegrate. I found the Denon cans to be an excellent replacement, but I wanted some in-ear style headphones that came with a mic. After losing a couple of pairs over the past couple of years, a friend of mine recommended me these. The feature functionality seemed right, and the price was good. The sound quality is acceptable, neither stunning nor awful. The fit is average. I've had better, I've had worse. They tend to work lose pretty quickly if you are doing anything but sitting, but that's not atypical for a design like this. The extension chord is a nice touch, but the lack of a USB adapter is kind of annoying, I ended up using one from my old Sennheisers that died, and that worked fine. The carrying case is gimicky, rubber (warning if you are allergic to rubber or latex) and pretty useless. It has a magnetic clip that holds it shut, but it's pretty weak and will fall open in a pocket or bag easily allowing your headset to get damaged. The microphone is well placed, and seems okay, nothing special. Picked up my voice fine.

This could have been a 3-4 star product, but the fact that it broke down in less than two weeks of usage, well, that's pretty sad considering it never left my desk....

First, you can get this for less than half of the currently listed price. Second, it's not worth even that. The volume control is only useful if you want to lower it. It doesn't even get as loud as the original phone volume with the control set at the highest level. The control is also placed too high on the cord near the headset. The plug makes lots of static in the jack if I bump it at all. The mute button is more than useless. There's no way to tell if you have it off or on until the person on the other line says, "hey, are you still there...hello!" Even with it off, the other person said, "You sound so far away. What's wrong?" My advice: try something else....

The casing around the 2.5mm plug is too wide for some phones with slightly recessed head phone jacks. I bought this to use with an LG ENV3, but I can't push the plug in far enough to make a good connection. Sometimes I can get a connection hold it with some pressure, but pops back out very easily.

Other than that, it is a great headset. I don't have problems with it being quiet like other reviewers and the construction is solid for a sub $20 headset....

These headsets are not all that great for music or gaming. They have good overall sound reproduction, very clear across all frequencies but they lack punch. They do just fine when used for TV shows, some movies and casual music.

The main reason I got them is for Skype, since they have a great mic. There is no way a person on the other end can tell it is a VOIP call.

The other issue being, they feel like they are pressing against your ears and you will start adjusting them again and again after a while and that becomes irritating.

For: Skype, TV Shows, Casual Music

Not For: Bass, Serious music lovers & gamers

The sound quality on this headset is very good. The only problem is comfort level of this headset. Like the other reviewer, I find the headset presses or squeezes your head rather tightly. I can only wear it for about an hour or two.

Not a bad buy for the price but I recommend you spend a bit more for the Sennheiser PC150 or PC160 series. They are lot more comfortable.

I actually purchased this for a WoW friend who did not have a headset. I use a more expensive Sennheiser model. But my buddy says this is a fantastic headset and is very, very pleased with it. The only negative I could mention is that my headset tends to hurt my ears after a few hours of wear but the sound quality is perfect and the ease of use is definitely "there"....
