Pioneer introduces in Japan the new SE-NC70S noise canceling headphone that comes with SRS Labs' SRS Headphone sound enhancement technology. Pioneer SE-NC70S has 40mm sound drivers and is able to reduce one fifth (1/5) of noise.
The SE-NC70S provides 20Hz-20kHz frequency response and up to 52ohm impedance. It has a 1.5 meter cable and a 3.5mm audio plug.

I was looking for an inexpensive pair of over the ear NC headphones. I bought the SE-NC70S after finding a favorable What Hifi review. The seller performance was excellent, however the product performance is lacking. In normal non-NC use they are 'muddy', and when they are in NC mode they emit a high pitch hiss that is very distracting. In hind-sight I should have bought the Bose Quiet Comfort 15's. I have used the Quiet Comfort 2s many times before and found them to be superior in comfort, quality and performance. I hate it when you get what you pay for....
