This review is from: David Clark X11 ENC Aviation Headset

I bought the my X11 back in 2007 in college.

I used these for the latter portion of my flight training. These headsets, just like the description was comfortable and light.

The ear pieces fit better than the other david clark headsets that ive tried. There is less pressure on the side of your head.

I'll List off the Pros to make it easier:

1)Its a solid quality product and you are getting what you paid for.

When i said soild quality, i also meant that David Clark takes care of you, the warrenty is outstanding.

2)the ENC is good/ "i dont know what to compare it to make the readers understand."

Ive noticed that Bass vibrations (ie. engine) quite down more than higher pitch noises.

Just like any products, there are somethings that i dont like:

1) the 1st Gen model had some "howling" problems in a DIAMOND STAR DA-40 when i was transmitting to ATC.

DCs warrenty took care of that problem for FREE, and they sent them back like new.

2) I stored them away (closet) for about 2 yrs; i pulled them out and noticed that the cord connection were worn. I also noticed the audio not functioning in one ear piece from time to time.

I sent them in to DC,(international delivery) and they took care of the problem. I did not pay a cent.

I didn't even have to pay for FEDEX...

The best headset company DAVID CLARK.
