Unit arrived in a timely fashion and as advertised. As with all noise canceling headphones, a level of background hiss is noticeable in a quiet environment. On airplanes, even turboprops, the over ear design plus the canceling circuit do a good job of reducing ambient noise while audio inputs are well reproduced. As others have noted, there is a booming base quality (overdone?) to audio amplification. The microphone performs well with VOIP and voice recognition software. High marks for the comprehensive collection of connectors that come with the unit and these connect as advertised to computer, playback devices (iPod, etc.) as well as cell phones and landline handsets. Overall, an excellent choice for travelers and mobile computing in a noisy environment. I have rated it down only for the boom and the hiss (a universal characteristic of noise cancellation gear that I have sampled)....
