Controlling Phone calls
Press the button once to take a call. During the phone conversation press button once to mute, press again to resume. Press button for 2 seconds to end the call.
Controlling the Music
While listening to music clicking the button once will pause/resume the music.
Toggle between music/phone
If you get a call while listening to music just press the button once to take the call, it will automatically pause the music, when done with the call press again and it will resume where it ended.

I decided to get these instead of bluetooth device, one to save on battery and two because I listen to music with my phone and this fit the bill of both a headset and ear buds. The buds give good quality for music, espeically if you balance the music on the phone and calls are crystal clear but will probably need to be turned down so you don't blow your ear drums. the mic is great and picks up my voice very clear and from what I'm told does not distort my voice in anyway. the on/off button is great for when I'm walking or driving and have the phone in my pocket and can't get to the screen to pick up or hang up a call. only complaint is the lack of a volume button but that is only a minor thing. I would definitely recommend these for anyone wanting a solid headset....
