When I saw the largely discounted price on these earphones, I was eager to pick them up; finally, I would have a high quality set of earphones. I was also very interested in the bone conduction technology.

I am disappointed to have to say that these just do not meet the standards I would hold for a $30 pair of headphones, much less $70, or the unbelievable retail of $200.

When used on my mp3 player (Creative Zen 4 GB Portable Media Player (Black)), the headphones cut out if the volume is turned up too high, presumably because the vibration requires more power than the mp3 player can put out(it keeps alternating between left and right struggling to produce sound from both sides, and when turned up a bit higher, they just cut out entirely).

They are more or less useless to me at work because they can't get loud enough to be heard clearly over the sound of the machinery.

At the volume levels where these headphones actually work on my mp3 player, you can hardly feel the bass at all.

They are comfortable in-ear headphones, and with an amplifier I am sure they could kick out some great bass (I am suspect of how the treble would sound at that level though); but in their current state, the headphones that came with my mp3 player worked better. (I've never had issues like this with any other headphones/earphones)...

I was a little skeptical about the technology but I wanted to find out how the bone conduction works since I have a little hearing problems.

I was very surprized when the headphone rattles on bass sound. But soon realized it is much comfortable in terms of sound quality than any other earphones/armature speakers. Sound volume is a little smooth but with deep and wide bass.

Maybe it is becuase of my hearing problem that makes this headphone more fit to my hearing. But I strongly recommend this headphone to the people who has hearing problems....

I use these headphones for my daily lap swim and they work very well, much better than the speedo headphones that come with the aquabeat mp3 player I have. I purchased these headphones about a month ago and have had no problems with them so far. I went with these headphones upon a recommendation of a fellow lap swimmer who used and swore by them as underwater headphones. I am glad I listened to him because they do the trick. The nice thing about these headphones is they do not rely on a water tight seal to conduct sound in the ear, so your listening experiences is never in jeopardy it they fall out of your ear during a turn or something you just put them back in and keep swimming.

Audio: These headphones put out a respectable audio quality when submerged in water however out of water they do not put out a good quality of sound. I would not recommend these earbuds for anything outside of swimming or activities under water, because out of water they sound terrible and are worthless as headphones.

Fit: It took me a couple tries to get the right fit and situate the buds to stay in my ears through turns but I was able to figure out the best setup for my ears. The headphones come with three sizes of earpieces that seem to sufficient for sizing any ear and keep them in place during your swim.

Negatives: These earbuds/headphones do not float so if you where to somehow lose them in the water you might be in trouble cause they will sink like a stone. I am not sure if they sell an after market flotation device but you will need one if you are worried about them sinking on you.

All and All I think these are the best buds for swimming for the price. I shelled out thirty bucks for them and I am glad I did because the speedo airtight buds don't even come close to the pineapples rumble bone quality and sound and I now swim laps listening to my favorite tunes....
