Controlling Phone calls
Press the button once to take a call. During the phone conversation press button once to mute, press again to resume. Press button for 2 seconds to end the call.
Controlling the Music
While listening to music clicking the button once will pause/resume the music.
Toggle between music/phone
If you get a call while listening to music just press the button once to take the call, it will automatically pause the music, when done with the call press again and it will resume where it ended.

Please note right away that these earbuds are NOT active noise cancelling 'phones. I knew that when I ordered them, but thought it worth mentioning since they are clearly misrepresented in the title. My expectations were very low for this product, and I am sorry to say despite that, they majorly disappointed.
These earbuds are also anything but High Fidelity. They have absolutely no response below 50Hz and very brash treble that makes listening to even a high quality mp3 a fairly dire experience. The Incredible does not have an equalizer by default, but even a quality equalizer and source will not correct the frequency response shortcomings of these headphones. Note that the response is specified as "20Hz-22000Hz", with no reference of the magnitude range of the response. I suspect it is too embarassing to print.
That said, I think these will make a great phone call headset, but I will never use them to listen to music....

Quick delivery, excellent sound quality and seem well made. I read rumors on a Droid forum about headset jacks not fitting well into the Incredible phone jack causing static and clicking sounds but that is certainly NOT the case with this headset. Voice quality from calls and music from the FM tuner are great.
I didn't want the extra battery drain and the odd look (to me) of a blue tooth head set and this wired headset worked well. The extra ear buds sizes and carrying case were frosting on the cake. I recommend them....
