I bought two pair of these noise cancelling headphones from this purveyor through another online channel.

The merchant is fantastic. They have excellent prices, and exceedingly speedy service. They genuinely care about their customers.

The headphones are also superior in terms of the sound quality. Noise is indeed cancelled. One can hardly hear anything except the sound coming through these headphones, and its quality is stellar. I'd much rather own a pair of Zenex headphones than Bose, which is 10 times or more as expensive, and whose sound quality is no better.

That said, these headphones have one major drawback: the headband is NOT adjustable to the wearer's preference. There is no way to expand the headband and keep it expanded. Rather, it contains tightly wound springs that snap the head band into place, so tightly in my case that I get a headache if I wear them too long.

Unfortunately, there seems to be no mechanism to adjust the headband and make it looser on the crown. It is more suitable a set of headphones for men with large heads, rather than petite women, like myself.

In addition, in putting the headphones on, stretching them too wide can snap a spring (as happened this evening, after about two months of use). My partner fortunately was able to repair it with copper wire and a bit of glue. We hope the repair holds.

But at least these headphones were reparable.

A set of Bose QuietComfort 2 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones, by contrast, broke --- also after about two months --- and was irreparable. The flimsy headband on that model yanked the cord from one of the earphones. Since that very expensive headphone set was used, we had no recourse. A huge waste of funds.

If you need noise cancelling headphones, these are far superior to Bose. The headband has its problems, but it is sturdy, and definitely will not pull your cord out of the earphone, as happened with Bose!...

These headphones are highly competitive with others in their price range. The price range is not around $100- but rather the $20-30.00 charged by this seller via Amazon. The seller did a good job of getting them to me rapidly. There is a 20% restocking fee as can be seen on their website.

The phones are substantial to allow for their sealing off sound with their large ear cups. That aspect may deter some buyers. You certainly know you are wearing them although I did not find them any more onerous than similar phones from other manufacturers. I prefer the open Sennheiser type but, that is a personal matter. Over a several hour wearing period I did not feel pain. The noise cancelling qualities appear to be competitive with others of this type.Putting the sound reducing reducing feature to work (via a switch on a oombined volume control-noise reducing plastic attachment in line with the connecting cord) not only reduces noise but improves the quality of the sound.

From the viewpoint of one whose primary use of headphones is in communicating speech, the quality of the sound is at a marginal level. For music, it seems quite satisfactory.

I would advise testing the headphones before buying although this is not possible with purchase via Amazon since opening the package negates the possibility of return. While the phones did not meet my primary needs they may well fulfill yours. I have no suggestions as to resolution of this dilemma. It is one common to all purchases of headphones not bought in a retail outlet with demonstration models,...

great sound and cup comfort I use these headphones for watching dvds and tv. these have a sound quality as good as or better than bose however, due to the band, extended use can cause some discomfort. This can be fixed with some 550 cord and duck tape then again what can't be fixed with 550 cord and duck tape....
