I read through many of the other reviews and couldn't decide the product has any iPhone 4 issues. The buds work great and the sound quality is much better than the original Apple headset. The mic quality is good. The only issue I have is that the mic / phone controls do not have a volume adjustment. You can use the mic / phone button to pause, advance, and back up while using the iPod functions. 1 click pause, 2 clicks skip to next song, and 3 clicks to got to start of song. Still the best cost to value product I could find....

These sound great. I use them to listen to music, podcasts, and of course phone calls.
They have served me great. They are comfortable, but the cord is very heavily laminated and stiff. And I have had the area where the cord connects to the mic/button start to delaminate and fray. The sound from the right ear bud is now cutting out. I do use these daily and have them around my neck pretty much all day for calls and listening pleasure. But less than 90 days and the cord has already failed? Not good. In my opinion the material used is much to stiff for daily use. Just the fabric alone would have most likely lasted longer.
I have submitted a request for an RA through Altec Lancing, I hear that the service is pretty good there so here is to hoping!...

Got these for an iPhone 3GS and macbook to use at the gym and while on skype. Worked great for a couple weeks but like some of the other reviewers have said the durability of these isn't very good. The right earphone failed on me pretty quickly. The connection to the headphone jack is pretty long and there's not guard to stop the cable from getting folded at a 90 degree angle if you have your phone ...
